The Helios FHIR Accelerator for Public Health is an alliance of Government, Private Sector, and Philanthropic partners that commits to develop, test, and support the widespread implementation of FHIR APIs and FHIR applications that are compatible with US Core Profiles for the advancement of public health with a focus on exchanges with healthcare, other sectors, & the public as part of the CDC Data Modernization Initiative (DMI). The Accelerator focuses on extending and adopting existing HL7 specifications in ways that are scalable, adaptable, sustainable, and suitable for public health. Come learn more from industry experts, ONC, CDC, and public health experts about the progress that is being made and how state, county, tribal, and territorial public health agencies can participate. Implementation areas include scalable exchanges with healthcare, the public, and other sectors beyond public health for high-priority, cross-cutting use cases such as breakthrough cases of COVID or prenatal, birth, and postpartum health outcomes.
