Shannon Crane is the Medicaid Enterprise Systems Director for the Alabama Medicaid Agency
and leads the Alabama Medicaid Enterprise Systems Modernization Program (AMMP). The
modernization effort will replace the current Medicaid Management Information System with a
modern suite of systems where each module supports unique and separate business functions.
She has a passion for working on large complex programs like AMMP where IT can truly make
a difference in a client’s life. Since 2011, she has worked in various positions within the Agency
gaining deep Medicaid knowledge specifically in claims, eligibility & enrollment, care
management and provider management. Prior to healthcare, she has over 15 years of experience
in senior program management implementing solutions for large manufacturing and federal IT
contracts.
